My One And Only (Win Tix!)
I believe it is so important for parents to spend time together, without kids! I know it’s hard to make it happen some times. It takes effort, and organising, and going out can be costly. Would free movie tickets help? I’ve got 5 double passes to give away to My One And Only for SquiggleMum readers courtesy of Hopscotch Films.
Set in the 1950′s, the movie stars Renee Zellweger as Ann Devereaux, a woman on the hunt for a replacement husband. She hits the road in her cadillac with two teenage sons Robbie and George, but finds the dating scene has changed a little since last she looked for a companion. Though her quest for a new man is sometimes comical, sometimes unnerving and sometimes tinged with sadness – it is not fruitless. The film is based on the early life of Hollywood icon George Hamilton. Here’s a sneak peek:
So, would you like a night out? The first five commenters will each win a double pass to see My One And Only. (Aussie residents only please.) Just leave a comment below saying why you need a date night this week. Oh, and since it’s kind of a chick flick… make sure your hubby gets to choose dinner, ok?

OMG 9 month old growth spurt & the arching of the back and 2.5 tantrums blocks thrown in the cot
need I say more
bring on wine o’clock!
So I can find a hot new date.
Spending time with hubby and without the kids = me being a better mummy when I am with them.
I need a date night because I think it’s been almost 18 months since I was actually alone with my partner. Wow, time flies!
My husband and I rarely see each other during the week and weekends are a whirl of birthday parties, drama classes and family events.
It would be so lovely to just be alone together and be able to relax.
Mu hubby has been travelling alot lately so a night out with him and without the kids would be great
Haven’t been out with hubby for over 2 yrs!! In the last 6mths we have had Master 2 in hospital or 3 weeks, seriously ill, lived in Perth with 2 kids for 2 mths while hubby worked in Sydney, moved from Perth to Sydney, which was a nightmare! Life has be a blur and to have a night out with uninterrupted conversation would be heaven and such a treat!!
my husband and my marriage are worth spending time on. we want to grow old together and still be best friends – that kind of relationship takes time and effort!! its 12 years and counting…
Its been an emotional and stressful past few months for us and I really need to reconnect and move postively into the future with my husband. A night out alone together would be another step in this direction. Its our 8 year wedding anniversary next month also!
Oops … I didn’t realise it was for the first 5 commenters … oh well!!
HA! My hubby WILL NOT watch chick flicks with me. lol
