Mother And Child (Preview Tix!)
Have you heard about the upcoming film Mother And Child yet? It’s been getting rave reviews online, and Mia Freedman enjoyed it so much she hosted two advanced screenings of it! I don’t have hundreds of tix to give away like Mia did, but thanks to my friends at Hopscotch Films I do have TEN DOUBLE PASSES to preview screenings around the country.
Here’s a little about the film:
Featuring stand-out performances from a superb cast, Mother and Child is a striking drama centred around three women whose paths will cross and change them forever. Karen (Annette Bening) is a reserved 50 year old nurse, who was forced to give up her daughter Elizabeth (Naomi Watts) for adoption 35 years ago and constantly questions her own choices and how they may have affected the daughter she has never known. Elizabeth, in turn, has grown into a single-minded career woman, albeit a successful lawyer and despite never knowing her mother, shares more her traits than she realises. Finally, Lucy (Kerry Washington), is a young woman desperate to adopt a child of her own. This is a powerful and moving film about forgiveness, the choices we make, the chances we miss and the power of the unbreakable bond between a mother and child.
