Values
These values underpin both my parenting and my educational practice, as well as my writing, speaking and blogging. I hope that these values are consistently evident in my posts here at SquiggleMum.
I value:
- childhood – as a unique and precious time during which lifelong foundations are laid
- play
- nature, and children’s connection with the natural world
- the importance of literacy development
- purposeful use of technology
- learning, particularly that which occurs naturally and is unforced
- quality Australian programs, productions, songs, books and television shows for Australian children
- balance – both for mums and for kids!
- as a Christian I also value opportunities to learn more about God, and to share my love of God with my children and with others
