A Busy Box is a container filled with age appropriate items your child can use for activities. Have you thought about setting up an outdoor box? Or a quiet time box? Whenever a friend has a baby I always make up a busy kit for the older siblings – usually full of activities and crafts that the older children can do independently, for example, I cut up pieces of contact and include different textured papers and other bits and pieces for making a collage.
Busy boxes are great for encouraging independed play and creativity.
