I Know The Plan
Jeremiah 29:11 is a well known and much loved Bible verse, and it’s been on my heart this week. You see, all of my plans have gone out the window, and God’s plan has fallen into place in a remarkable way.
When things go right, some people say that “the planets have aligned.”
Others say things are an “amazing coincidence”
I say it’s God.

In a couple of weeks I will be returning the work force in a part-time capacity. I wasn’t actively looking for a job. The job found me, and the process has been incredibly smooth. It’s a great job working with families and picture books (two of my favourite things). I’m delighted to be able to promote the importance of reading in the early years throughout the community. I’ll fill you in on more of the job details soon.
The thing is, this wasn’t my plan. My plan was to do a bit of supply teaching, or return to the classroom in a year or two when my youngest reaches school age too. I like making my own plans. I like to feel in control. But if I’d stuck with my plan, I would have missed this wonderful opportunity!
His plan fills me with hope for the future. His plan is good.

Congratulations on a new adventure! I don’t get how people can say the universe has been kind and all that…really?! God’s ways are always higher than ours, and He always has bigger and better plans for us. I look forward to seeing how His plan unfolds for you.

This is one of my favourite bible verses and one I often come back to. Like you I often make my own plans but it always works out better when I ‘let go and let God’. Thanks for the reminder!

I found that verse in the bible the Dad before my Dad passed away (way back when I was 19) it had a huge impact on my life – knowing He had plans and this, as hard as it was, was part of it. It’s precious to have something you can trust in. Goodluck with the new job – it’s sounds so fabulous!!

Congrats on your new role. Sometimes letting go of the plans you had and accepting others can be a little scary. But like you said, what an amazing opportunity.
It really does sound like a wonderful job……and I know you will be fantastic.
I am dying to know what God has planned for me. At the moment life is going in a very opposite direction to what I had planned. I feel like my life and return-to-work plans are in turmoil. The way it is looking my family leave will be over before I even conceive my second child.
This post was nice to read. Nice to know that things come together.

God is in everything, so when somebody says ‘the planets have aligned’, I think God did it for me
