A really good post Catherine and very true. I’m not religious but do believe in God (that probably has it’s own issues). I’m guilty of talking to him at the hardest times in my life when I usually want instant help.

It took a bit for my oldest daughter to realize God wasn’t like a vending machine but that didn’t mean he wasn’t real and couldn’t do anything. She once said, I prayed and it didn’t work. Totally broke my heart. I’m like you in trying to explain that it’s a conversation, that God loves to hear from us.

I love the phrase let’s talk to God. I think I use it sometimes but not intentionally. It makes it seem so much more real. I’m going to be much more intentional about using it now. Thanks for sharing these thoughts with us.

We are looking at a mini break in qld and this type of review really helps. Not having the single beds for the kids wld be a pain for us. I would expect a family package to meet this requiement, otherwise it is back to the usual places.
