Bianca (28months) LOVES dirt girl! We’ve attempted a pot of veggies but the frost in Toowoomba has knocked them around a bit. Bianca loves digging in the dirt and watering them tho… maybe they got a little to much TLC

It seems that the second my girls step out the door they get grubby. They love to play with sand whether it becomes food they’re making on their outside play kitchen or something to dig in. They also love our veggie garden and helping Daddy while he works in it.

My girl loved dirtgirlworld when it first started, it was one of her “favourites”, but then it seemed to disappear, or clashed with another “favourite” so we haven’t seen it in ages. I love that there is a show all about how kids can have fun and learn in the garden, and take care of the planet whilst they do so!

On the weekend we went to visit my brother’s almost finished house. On acerage as you can imagine it is a house, with lots of bits and pieces from the builders and lots of piles of dirt. Take into account it had just been raining and was full of puddles and mud. I told the boys not to get dirty as we had to pop into the shops on the way home to get a roast for daddy’s fathers day dinner. What was I thinking – boys – mud. Anyway imagine, puddles, mud, planks of wood, bricks, rocks and a big pile of dirt. 3 very wet, dirty boys. I should have known.

I always tell my kids friends to come to our house dressed in OLD clothes as my kids are always getting messy. Most of the time it is paints, but lately they are covered in wet chalk…having discovered the joys of mixing chalk with water to create amazing, vivid pictures all over the back fence with the help of a spray bottle.
