Buckets and Strings

Sometimes the simplest ideas are the best, aren’t they? This week I put a piece of string up and over the branch of a tree, and tied a coloured bucked to each end. Genius. Mr Almost-Two has played with these buckets constantly.
Blue bucket down, yellow bucket up.
Yellow bucket down, blue bucket up, up, up!
And if you’re very, very clever – you can get both buckets to stop half way
and fill them up with
water
dirt
leaves
your morning tea…
OK, this is like the best idea ever, or at least, one of them! My terrible/darling 2 year old would love this. Thanks for the inspiration!

We did something similar off our clothesline Liam Loved it he also enjoyed one bucket on a rope which was great for swinging and spinning

I can’t believe how big he is now. We’re missing out on the kids growing up
I wish we lived closer so we could come and visit. What a great idea, the buckets and string. Wish I’d known that one when your cousins were little.

This is something we are going to have to do! I think my almost 3 year old will love it. He spends hours outside digging and filling up buckets etc. Thanks for the idea.
