Hi!  I’m so glad you found your way to my little patch of the blogosphere

My name is Catherine Oehlman, but I’m also known as SquiggleMum, Cath, or Mummy.  I currently work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in the exhausting, unpaid career that is mothering young children.  And I love it!

This blog is a collection of thoughts offering inspiration and ideas to other parents with little ones.  I have no shortage of writing material as my husband and I raise our two munchkins (aged 4 and 1) in beautiful Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.  I write about everyday mothering experiences as a way of processing them, and I strive to learn something about my children, something about myself, or something about God.  Through this blog I hope to encourage other parents to make the most of the time they have at home with their kids.

Before becoming a SAHM I adored my job as a primary school teacher and had particular interests in music and literacy.  I’m still book mad and I also enjoy educating kids about the great outdoors.  As well as here on my own blog, you can find me squiggling about these topics and more at:

I also guest post around the place from time to time, and write regularly for MOPS Australia (Mothers of Pre Schoolers) and Footprints Magazine. In my spare time (!!) I coordinate the Stafford MOPS group and clean my house.
